Welcome...

Welcome to my project 365.

What is project 365? It is simply where you take a photo a day for 365 days.

Why do project 365? People do it for different reasons but I received a new camera for xmas and in order to get used to using it I decided the best way was to use it often, not just when I schedule a shoot but for everyday things. Project 365 will get me thinking outside the 'box' and make me think more creatively about what I am photographing. If you happen to stop by don't be a blog stalker :) sign up and leave me a message........I hate talking to myself!

Ok well I finished my 365 so now what? For now I'm just going to update a few things that happen so that family members following can still see what we are up to.

SISTERS REVENGE

Day 298 / 365

This is how I found Max in the sandpit this morning.  I think she secretly enjoyed burying her brother!!

COLOURS

Day 297 / 365

Couldn't resist taking a shot of these straws.  So bright and colourful.

CUTE SHOES

Day 296 / 365

I love these cute little shoes I found at the shops today.  Very comfy and summery.

A WIN

Day 295 / 365

We spent the afternoon watching the rugby world cup final between New Zealand and France.  It was a great game played well by both teams with 1 point separating them in the final score.
The All Black certainly got a run for their money but glad they won!!

MOMENTS IN LIFE

Day 294 / 365

Life is a series of moments, most of them going past unnoticed, every second, every minute, every day.  But sometimes a moment comes along that will be with you for ever and today that moment came for me.  A moment so terrifying, so full of fear that it brings you to your knees, where time stands still and everything else disappears.
Miss A had an accident at a playground today and by the time I got to her I realised something was badly wrong.  Rather than crying she was turning blue and went limp in my arms.  That was the moment that fear gripped me.  I will be eternally grateful to the friend who ran to help and called the ambulance.  We thought she had injured her back but she wouldn't respond to us once she became conscious, she kept her eyes closed and just cried.  There was a moment of relief when the ambulance arrived and further relief when she finally calmed down, opened her eyes and gave me a faint smile.  At that moment I knew whatever the outcome we could handle it, my girl was back.
There appeared to be no major injuries to her back and she was cleared to go home.  She does however have a large bruise on one leg.  We don't know exactly what happened or why she went unconscious but I am grateful that she is ok.  The best moment was when I could finally give her a hug.
Now as I look at her sleeping peacefully, safe and sound in her own bed I know how lucky I am.  I got to bring her home and there was no serious damage, lots of parents aren't so lucky.
As you tuck your little ones into bed remember to be thankful that they are safe and well because life can change in a moment.

SECRET INDULGENCE

Day 293 / 365

This has to be my favourite chocolate bar, pure chocolate bliss to eat.  I haven't had a chocolate bar in a long time but decided to indulge myself today.  It was good too.

PEOPLE ART

Day 292 / 365

I happened to spot these craft cutout people while at the shops today and after the success of the mask activity I decided to buy some.  Miss A and I spent this afternoon making clothes and designing our people,  not sure who had the most fun!!

PINK

Day 291 / 365

Todays inspiration was pink.  I love vibrant colours and the pink of this umbrella was perfect!

LUNCH

Day 290 / 365

Nothing riveting about todays image....this was my lunch!  It was raining and cold so was running low on inspiration.

MASKS

Day 289 / 365

Last day of school holidays and we were invited to a friends house for some art with the kids.  They made these cool masks.  A great idea which we must remember for next school holidays to get the kids together and have an art morning where they make, create and play together.  It is so nice to see them using their creative imaginations to make something they feel proud of.  Thank you Lindy for inviting us to be a part of it.

BREAKFAST

Day 288 / 365

If you haven't tried it yet I highly recommend it........fresh fruit juice for breakfast.   Absolutely delicious and really healthy.   This one had watermelon, blueberries, boysenberries, pineapple and ice.  Seriously yumm!!

FENCE ART

Day 287 / 365

I thought they were drawing another hopscotch but they were actually drawing on the fence.  It's only chalk and will come off with the next rain shower so no harm done.

ARE YOU?

Day 286 / 365

Ever get the feeling when everything just feels right.

PILATES

Day 285 / 365

I had been trying out a new pilates dvd prior to cooking dinner.  While cooking dinner I realised I hadn't seen Miss A for quite some time so went to check on her. I found her in the bedroom where I had left the dvd player and mat and she was doing her own pilates session!

REALLY??

Day 284 / 365

Ok hands up who has been eating the trees.........!

HELPING

Day 283 / 365

It was the last day their dad was home before returning to work and they both helped him wash the cars.  They then moved on to their bikes and anything in between!! including each other.  Lucky the weather was warm.

FASHION

Day 282 / 365

There was no way she could play hopscotch in these!!  I had a chance to beat her.

WILDFLOWERS

Day 281 / 365

This is at a park not far from where we live, we had spent the day there and as we were leaving I talked Miss A into going into the wildflowers for a few photos.  She was extremely tired and not particularly willing but bless her for obliging.

DETERMINATION

Day 280 / 365

'Accept what life offers
With acceptance comes peace.'

BABY J

Day 279 / 365

This little man has renewed my faith in shooting newborns.  From the time he arrived he was asleep and stayed that way almost the whole session and didn't complain once.   I got to try several props and poses and although there are so many great images to choose from this is the first one I picked out to edit.

CONTEMPLATE

Day 278 / 365

I was sitting outside today and had really never noticed these gorgeous berries that are growing above our fence from the neighbours.  The sunlight was filtering through the trees and I realised how beautiful they are.....I have no idea what they are mind you, but then that isn't important, what is important is to notice them in their essence for what they are.

FUN & LAUGHTER

Day 277 / 365

Today I spent the afternoon at an indoor playground.  The kids loved this huge bouncy slide which they spent about an hour climbing up and sliding down.  A slightly technically challenged image due to the poor lighting and their speed on the slide but it shows their joy!!

COOKIES

Day 276 / 365

This afternoon was spent baking lemon biscuits.  Something else from my childhood that I used to make and my children now love because they are put together with jam, iced and topped with sprinkles.

CHILDHOOD GAMES

Day 275 / 365

The kids have started playing hopscotch these holidays, it bought back childhood memories of playing this myself.  It's great how some games just never go out of date and continue from generation to generation.

GARDENING

Day 274 / 365

More outdoor stuff today.  Max decided to do more weeding and Miss A got to hold the weed bucket.  By the time these school holidays are over our yard will be spick and span.

PLANTING

Day 273 / 365

Max decided yesterday he would like to do some gardening so I gave him the job of transplanting several small trees into pots.  He now has 10 trees to look after until they are big enough to sell.

BROAD BEANS

Day 272 / 365

Miss A grew this little broad bean plant at kindy.  We now have it at home....not sure I'm all that excited at the prospect of eating any broad beans though.
