FAREWELL

Well its farewell for a few weeks from me.  We are off to NZ to visit family and give the children some NZ culture.  I am still intending to do a photo a day but they won't be uploaded until we return.  I think there will be many photo ops on our holiday to keep me up to date.

I'm a list person and in a few days we are off on a holiday to NZ so I have lists everywhere for everything!!    On that note tomorrow will be my last blog post for a few weeks.  I fully intend to take a photo a day while I am away but I won't be able to upload them as I go so there will be an onslaught of posts when I return.

Project 52 had the theme 'late' this week.  I chose a late riser as my image......well 8.13am would be late for me to be getting up!

Woohoo 100 days of photos already!  Can't believe how fast the year is going.  I wished I had been able to come up with something more creative but 100 beads in the number 100 was pretty fitting.  The kids had fun helping me.  Thanks to my followers and the friends who have commented on my images, you have all managed to keep the inspiration going.  Heres to another 265 days.......................

FASHION

Day 99 / 365

Miss A loves dressing up and has wanted some high heels for such a long time.  I bought her some ages ago which to her disappointment didn't fit her feet and trust me I did everything I could to try and make them fit until I gave up and hid them in the back of a cupboard.    I spotted these the other day at the reject shop for $2 and they fitted perfectly.  Little did I know she would practically sleep in them she loves them so much!!   

BLUE

This gorgeous little one came to play this afternoon.  She has some of the bluest eyes I have ever seen!

OLIVER TWIST

Day 97 / 365

These things are always a challenge to me but I think I've pulled this one off ok.  Max has to dress in clothing inspired by the Oliver Twist story for his school assembly tomorrow so it was rather a mad rush to find something suitable that he would actually wear!!!  I picked these up for him today not expecting him to 'like' them but he actually thought they were cool and happily posed for some photos for me.  The shoes aren't quite a match but seriously how much effort does one have to go for 30 minutes on stage.

BALLS

Beach balls all blown up and ready for my pre-school music class this morning.  A room full of beach balls makes for a lot of fun!

MOMENTS TO TREASURE

Day 95 / 365



This afternoon a beautiful thing happened.  Max decided he wanted to make something special for his sister so he set about making her an award, a card and a little star with I love you on it.  He put them into a gift bag along with a ring, one of his bookmarks and a few other bits of treasure and presented them to her.  What he wrote in his card was priceless and when I hear them fighting I will remember what he has written and know that deep down they love and care deeply for each other.

AUTUMN

Autumn is starting to show here in Australia.  Although the weather is still fairly warm the leaves are starting to turn and fall from the trees.

LATEST CRAZE

These little people are starting to take over the house.  They are part of the lego minifig series 3 set and both the children love collecting them.  Almost every time we go to the shops they want to buy more (their money not mine!) and every time we have to take a cheat sheet with us to try and figure out which minifig is actually in the package.  You see the manufacturers package them in foil packets so you have no idea which minifig is in there but some smart cookie worked out there are small dots along the bottom seam of the packaging which can identify each figure.  So we go to the shops armed with a little sheet of paper telling us where the dots are for each minifig and trust me those dot are really hard to find.  The things we do....!
